JSW MG Motor India is expected to launch a premium, all-electric Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV), called MG M9 EV, soon. The company has officially started pre-bookings for the car on their website and at new "MG Select" dealerships.
The premium and luxurious MPV segment is a new direction for the brand in India, which uses the global Maxus platform and technology. The car is expected to be priced between Rs. 60 to 70 lacs (ex-showroom) in India.
It can compete with other large MPVs like the Kia Carnival, Toyota Vellfire, and BYD Seal Lion 7 (expected), and also holds the advantage of being fully electric.
The price for this MPV is not confirmed, but this limousine car is likely to be priced in the range of Rs. 60 lacs to 70 lacs (ex-showroom) in India. The M9 EV will likely be positioned to compete with high-end MPVs and potentially some luxury SUVs.
MG Motor India has officially started accepting bookings for the car with a token amount of ₹51,000. This MPV will be sold exclusively through MG's new premium retail channel, MG Select.
